Betta

Betta fish (Betta splendens), also known as Siamese Fighting Fish, are famous for their vibrant colors and flowing fins. Originally from the rice paddies and slow-moving waters of Southeast Asia, these fish are highly territorial, especially males, and should not be kept together unless in a controlled breeding environment. Betta fish have a labyrinth organ that allows them to breathe air from the surface, making them adaptable to low-oxygen conditions. They thrive in well-maintained tanks with gentle filtration and plenty of hiding spaces.
